6pm visit. Not been for some 4 years and now, twice in 48hrs! We met up in Medway again, so, might as well call in.

Post football visit. Having depressed ourselves at the nearby Priestfield, I took my pal here. His first visit, and mine for over four years. Still in the same hands and doing well it seems. Today was a Harvey's theme, one of my favorite brewers.

1630 visit. And good to get back here after nearly two years! Having left central Gillingham behind and walked past a myriad of depressed shops and the sad sight of another boarded up pub, the Shep's house, Monarch, it was good to end this trip here. Still the best pub in this area of the Medway branch. Current GBG 2012 entry, it's 19th year in the guide. Recommended.

Came to Gillingham on the bus to visit the Royal Engineers Museum, which was excellant, and stopped at this great little back street boozer on the return. This is the best pub in Gillingham, period. Ticks all the boxes and, I'm surprised I'm only the second to rate this on Pubsandbeer. Beer festivals are regular here and a Cider and Belgium Beer Fest is coming up on the 17/18/19th September.(The fridge here is fully stocked with some of Belgiums finest!). A top pub. And Sunday roast's from 1pm -4pm are legendary and good value too!

I've been wanting to visit this pub for a number of years. Partly because it does Goacher's Mild and partly because I used to work around the corner from it but never knew it was there. Jane needed a lift to some friends house nearby which gave me the opportunity to come here. The interior is great; it's long and thin with plenty of seating. I wish it was a bit closer to me as I'd go more often.

Goacher's - Real Mild Ale3.40GoodShe poured off a half before giving me mine. It was milky with a strong bitterness and some roasted malt notes. It was good.
