This was an Ind Coope pub at the time of my previous visit. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Gritchie beer on sale today.

Crowded in the early evening. I was served here perhaps the most laughably short measure I have ever seen. The barmaid struggled to see the problem and only topped-up most begrudgingly.

The pub is found in Shoreditch, Central London, EC1Y 1BD.

A long-standing pub close to what is today called ‘Silicon Roundabout’ in City Road – it was here by 1798 at least. The exterior is in red marble, with some surviving Taylor Walker signage (1980s version). Inside is a semi-circular bar counter and a contemporary décor. There is an upstairs lounge.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
