I had an hour to spare so I drove to Kings Langley from Jane’s mum’s house. Although the pub is on the high street I drove straight past it without noticing. When I eventually found it there were a few people sitting outside on benches overlooking the road and a few more people inside. The interior of the pub consists of a single room which shrinks at the rear where the bar is located. There are collections of typewriters and jugs to be found and it was all very pleasant.
