Mid afternoon and fairly busy. We had an hour to kill before the Butchers Arms 17.30 opening so I suggested coming here. Possibly the worst decision I've ever made during my beer drinking career! Young uninterested barman lacked any empathy whatsoever to our plight!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Westerham - Spirit of Kent XXX Pale Ale4.00UndrinkableVile - a pint of disgusting murky sweet and sour sugar water. Exchanged for the similar Whitstable Bay Pale Ale.
Shepherd Neame - The Faversham Steam Brewery - Whitstable Bay Pale Ale3.90UndrinkableDitto my comments for the Spirit Of Kent. Exchanged for 3 halves of rip off Neck Oil which I deemed not even worthy of noting.

Afternoon visit with a group of former work colleagues. We found the place a bit too warm for our liking and chose to sit as far away from the fire as possible.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - IPA3.50ExcellentIn good condition.
Hopdaemon - Red4.20ExcellentOne of the best pints of this I have had for some time.
Phoenix - Brunning & Price Original Bitter3.80Not TriedI ordered one of these but it ran out. It was replaced later with a new cask after the lines had been flushed through.

Mid afternoon and our group came in here for a late lunch, a few others in here had decided to do the same. I was disappointed with my meagre steak sandwich which would have been £6.25 had it not been for ChrisE's 25% shareholder discount.

Late afternoon, after 4, still very busy with diners but a nice atmosphere in the bar area and not too crowded. Beers a little samey. The rhubarb cider got a thumbs-up from my daughter.
