Sought this out on the way back from Eastbourne tennis. A Kent entry in the CAMRA a pub historic interior list, although the barman insisted that the pub is actually in East Sussex. Delightful place - rambling building with intimate snug bar and an impressive inglenook fireplace. “PRHA Public House Reform” plaque from around the turn of the C20. People’s Refreshment House Association.

A blazing hot June Saturday lunchtime on one of our wild goose chases. We sat out front under the lime trees.I'd wanted to come here for the past forty years, but had never made it(probably because I'd always thought it was called The Wellington). The characterful bar is on the Regional Heritage list.
