Visits Details

02 Aug 2018 (Jack William)
Afternoon- a swift visit after vising the nearby Pontefract Castle. Friendly landlord and a couple of drinkers who provided me with some interesting local folklore - including that of the Black Monk of Pontefract. 4th ale waiting to settle badged as Yorkshire PPA (Pontefract Pale Ale) 3.8% - possibly from a local micro. The pub has recently been revamped according to the landlord with an emphasis on real ales.
