There is quite a buzz coming from this taproom as I approach and I soon find that the crowds have been drawn to a Tap Takeover by South London’s own Anspach & Hobday Brewery – somewhat ironic given that I often spend my Friday evenings in Bermondsey. 10 of the 11 taps are dedicated to A&H beers, leaving me just one opportunity to try the local stuff.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Anspach & Hobday - The IPA6.00ExcellentMy daily hop allowance in one go.
l'Ermitage - Lanterne5.50ExcellentA US-style IPA with Belgian yeast flavours – an interesting hybrid.
Anspach & Hobday - The Crowdfunder3.80GoodA golden and hazy, rye Pale Ale.
Anspach & Hobday - The Kiwi Sour3.20AcceptableI’ve heard a few people grumbling that some ‘sour’ beers are not very sour. They need to try this one. Almost too sour for comfort.

The pub is found in Brussels, Belgium, 1070.

A central Brussels micro-brewery and weekend taproom, situated just around the corner from the legendary Cantillon Brewery in Rue Lambert Crickx. The brewery is a bit larger than its name suggests and the taproom is relatively spacious, with both indoor seating and a few tables in the courtyard outside. There are eleven taps on the bar.

We have visited this pub once, seen 4 different beers and tried them all.
