Early evening and with a pleasant atmosphere.

My first chance to visit this new bar which has only been re-opened as Signature’s taproom for less than a week. Good to see the whole brewing team here tonight. Signature brew quite a lot of cask beer, so it is disappointing to find that none of it is sold here.

| Hackney - Deep Water IPA | 6.70 | | From key-keg and not noticeably troubled by carbonation. Hazy gold in colour. It has a very soft mouthfeel (use of wheat?) and a real depth of fruit flavours (melon, grape). Exceptionally good I thought. |
| Signature Brew - Banfi | 3.80 | | Poured from a can. A grapefruit-flavoured, sour beer. It ticks both boxes in abundance. |
| Signature Brew - Solo: Sorachi Ace | 5.00 | | From keg and both cold and fizzy. There's a lot of hop in this, with herbal flavours dominating over the citrus. |

The pub is found in Hackney, Greater London, E8 4EA.
Leyton-based (now Walthamstow based) Signature Brew opened their tap room here in Hackney in September 2018. It occupies a wide railway arch beside the canal and close to Haggerston railway station. The taproom also functions as a music venue and has a stage at the far end of the arch. Beer taps are made from old microphones and there is a music theme running through the décor.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried them all.
