Early evening and rush-hour busy. Good to see some people playing darts, a fast-disappearing aspect of pub culture. A 4.1% Greene King (I think) house beer was also available.

The pub is found in Aldgate, Central London, E1 8EU.

This little, street corner pub was present by 1810 and was rebuilt in the 1840s and again in its present form in 1894. For much of its history it has been a Courage Brewery house. By 2002 it had been renamed Bar Bed and it was again renamed, the Zeppelin Shelter, in 2009. By 2013 it was back under its proper name. The pub has had an on-off relationship with cask beers over the last 20 years, but currently has three handpumps on the bar.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
