Visits Details

04 Nov 2018 (Stephen Harris)
A mid-afternoon visit. I had been recommended to come to this bar by the Tourist Office: “My daughter says they sell the best beer in Hebden Bridge”. The barman meanwhile is happy to tell me that he is nursing the mother of all hangovers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Top Rope - New World Order DDH Simcoe4.70ExcellentFrom a keg of some kind. Pale golden and hazy, dry citrusy hop.
Nightjar (formerly Slightly Foxed) - Kalifornia4.40AcceptableA murky gold, soft, fruity thingy. Some customers are raving about it, but it doesn’t taste quite right to me – perhaps I got the last pint or something.

The pub is found in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, HX7 8AD.

A small pub situated in a part of the historic Picture House building in central Hebden Bridge. It opened in June 2017 as the brewery tap for Nightjar Brewery of Sowerby Bridge (previously called Slightly Foxed Brewery). The bar area is rather snug and there is room for a handful more drinkers on two outside tables at the front. There are three handpumps on the bar.

We have visited this pub once, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
