Headcorn Hop - RT Route 535.20GoodVery tangy. Lots of malt and hop bitterness
Westerham - Tackle4.00PoorAcknowledged as bright beer collected from brewery today. Tasted and smelt like green beer before any fermentation has taken place

21 Feb 2019 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until 10.30pm close. Good chat with the Guv about what he wants to achieve by opening up a former patrons only Theatre Bar to all and with the addition of cask ale. To date he has always collected his Kentish beers, in polypins (or smaller), from the actual breweries.

Headcorn Hop - RT Route 535.20AcceptableApparently a new small outfit run by a French couple in Kent. This is a house beer for this pub, being a red ale with chocolate tones

The pub is found in New Cross, Greater London, SE14 6TA.

One time Theatre Bar only open to patrons but now a basement bar available to all, in the London Theatre in New Cross Road, which relaunched in February 2019 with a stated intention to sell cask Kentish beers, which are sold on gravity dispense from a cellar room behind the bar counter. Three rooms with a model railway in the rear one. CAMRA discount on real ale for card carrying members. Loyalty card scheme, buy 10th and get 11th free. Closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The venue has a theatre space for regular productions on Sunday and Monday evenings. Ales are dispensed from polypins and minikegs and may contain bright beer. In late 2019 doubts as to whether this venue remains open as all external Ale Bar signage has been removed and the owning company has been dissolved.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
