Despite contrary information on the pub's own website and collaborative Google maps info this was closed with chairs stacked on tables. Further WhatPub research reveals the sad passing away of the long term landlord and an optimistic reopening expected in June. Watch this space!

Mid afternoon friendly welcome just a couple of chaps at the bar in this charming little terraced backstreet locals gem. We waited patiently while the barmaid without prompt pulled off a fair few pints of the Young's until satisfied it was ready.

The pub is found in Winchmore Hill, Greater London, N21 3LH.

Small, friendly pub with one bar in Hoppers Road, popular with locals and welcoming to visitors. A large screen TV shows sporting events and gets very busy when Spurs or Arsenal are playing. Local football teams meet here and there is a golf society. The walls are adorned with local history photographs and a Victorian map of the area. The patio-style walled garden at the rear welcomes dogs at quiet times. Rather than 4 regular beers, the pub now offers 3 regulars plus a guest beer from the Ei Group range; they tend to have seasonal named beers or an Adnams ale.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
