Found by chance after a fruitless walk to the nearby ‘spoons who don’t allow dogs in. We were with old friends (and our dog). Very friendly welcome - a raft of interesting ales, good meals and a water bowl for the dog. I liked it a lot.

Sumptuous pub/restaurant in Northumberland Road. High vaulted spacious ground floor with leather armchairs, high and low tables with a long, raised bar at the back. Additional first floor area that can be glimpsed between the copious light fittings of the lower.

We have visited this pub once, seen 7 different beers and tried 2 of them.
