Early evening:empty apart from a group of workers from the nearby Whitstable Brewery.The new Guv told me his plans for the pub,which inevitably centre around an interesting looking specials board. I hadn't been in since the seventies, and truth be told, I don't really remember its lay-out.

The pub is found in Ulcombe, Kent, ME17 1DP.

Traditional tile hung pub in the centre of the village in The Street. After a long period of closure, a village consortium bought and reopened the pub a few years ago. The plainly decorated interior forms an airy L-shape around the serving area. The left hand end is laid up for dining. Closed with plans for conversion to housing submitted to the local Council. Planning permission granted spring 2024.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
