Mid evening visit until close. Local restaurants packed but only 2 others in here then just me. 4 handpumps but "only 1 real ale at this time of year". Very friendly proprietor and bar staff.

A bar along micropub lines but not promoted as such, in Mill Row under a spacious converted railway arch, Real ales on 4 handpumps. The bar counter is made from wooden boards to give a rustic feel. Opened September 2020. Discount for card carrying CAMRA members. Significant half pint price premium. Last orders must be placed 30 minutes before advertised closing times. Closed, but uncertain from what date.
