Pre-match pint. Heaving, good choice of beers - although I settled on the Kent. Couple of other TT beers on I think.

Bank holiday Monday - pre-match drink before going off to Craven Cottage. Very busy, and just the two (owners?) serving. Something odd happening here, I’ve read reports of crowd funding going sour and Google maps has it marked incorrectly as closed. Other beers on but too crowded to see them.

Afternoon visit with a group of friends. Card payments only at the moment, we were told that the normal cash payment method will resume from Monday. Card payments only ruined the chance to all contribute to a "kitty" so we opted to join small rounds. The pub became quite busy as the afternoon progressed.

Pre-match tipple. New owners since I was last here and they have extended the real ale to an impressive 11 hand pumps (2 not noted). Very pleasant (and Fulham won 6-2 so rather a good day all round).

Early doors about 1130 - pretty much packed with well behaved Fulham fans (unlike the raucous cacophony coming from the away fans in the nearby Duke). A full set of seven Timothy Taylor ales on the pumps.

Lunchtime - very few in considering it was match day at the Cottage. Nice chat with an elderly local. Filled up a bit by 2. No discount for CAMRA members despite their "pub of the year" awards form previous years boldly displayed outside.

Here at around 7pm to find the pub very quiet. There was a problem with a lack of change behind the bar. Fortunately I was able to count out my pennies, but a couple of other potential customers left thirsty for lack of change for a twenty pound note.

Early evening - prior to a Fulham game - busy, good atmosphere not spoiled by anyone eating - a real boozer - but London prices all the same.

The pub is found in Putney, Greater London, SW15 1DD.

Traditional single-roomed pub tucked away near to Putney Bridge in Waterman Street. At one time was the only pub in London to serve the full Timothy Taylor cask range. SW London CAMRA Pub of the Year 2008. Regular beer festivals and events. Has 12 handpumps on the bar, offering an ever-changing range of amazing beers from small breweries around the UK. Policy is to buy in the whole range of a particular brewer every week, one that is not normally showcased in London, so it can offer Londoners a real choice. The aim is to have a sort of rolling beer festival.

We have visited this pub 21 times, seen 120 different beers and tried 101 of them.
