Unfathomably quiet for a Friday evening next door to a university. No food being served and sadly no sign of any Bells beers. What was available was not in the same league as the other pubs visited later in the evening. Early days yet but more microbrewed ales needed to compete with the city centre's best.

Large sports-bar styled student pub with several available handpumps, range of Euro-fizz and multi-coloured spirits, complete with pool table, quiz night and large-screen projector TV. Changed hands from Castle Rock to Bells Brewery of Broughton Astley in February 2009.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 2 of them.
