I've always wanted to go here. It wasn't what I was expecting. Tony commented on the strong smell of bleach, wondering what it had been used to clean (I suspect just the tables, but he had other ideas). Maybe it had been used to burn through the heating system as the place was cold! Having said all that, the lady serving was really nice, and I actually really liked the pub. I'd certainly go back if I visit Sheffield again!

Evening visit. Becoming increasingly busy in the run up to a set by a rock covers band. Lots of hair, denim and leather on view. Unfortunately I had to leave before they started.

We settled in here after rejecting the Shakespeare and the Riverside as being too crowded. As ever, there is a good beer range and true to form I select the one with the hoppiest name. Then off to the Caribbean take-away on Wicker Lane.
