Martin the MildmanExcellent10 Nov 2012 Strong black winter warmer type ale, reduced in strength but none the worse for it. Rich and full bodied with sweet toffee and dried fruit flavours rounded off with a fruity finish. My score 16/20.

The Thomas Ingoldsby, Canterbury, Kent

AlenomoreExceptional03 Nov 2012 The lovely young and very knowledgable serving wench was very keen for me to try this. She was enthusiastic and able to describe each ale on tonite. Not often you meet a woman this young who know's there ales! This sample, as per Mr Pirrips' notes, is a stonker of an ale. Top condition here with a lovely clinging frothy head. Always good to sample this one.
