Beermad is a great website to get information about current and historic real ales. If I can't quite remember if I was drinking Doombottom's Crackleshakle or Boombottom's Shaklecrackle last night Beermad will set me right!

The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is the UK's largest organisation advocating the cause of Real Ale. CAMRA also run numerous beer festivals.

The Reluctant Scooper (otherwise known as "haddonsman") runs a very interesting site all about beer. There are beer, pub and beer-festival reviews plus plenty of photos. The Reluctant Scooper is based in Derby but clearly travels anywhere that promises to deliver a decent pint. This site is well worth a read.

Although Scoopergen is primarily interested in beer scooping (i.e. trying as many different beers as possible - not necessarily in a pub) the site contains plenty of reviews of Gazza's pub crawls. On top of that, Gazza never holds back from expressing his strongly held opinions about the state of beer today. A very informative and interesting read.

The "Young Camra Collectiv" are a group of twentysomething Aleheads (who happen to be camra members) from Southeast England & the Midlands who write about beer. They particularly enjoy British ale and are often found at beer festivals and great pubs around the country.
