Ian		16 May 2006	I had so enjoyed this at the Folkestone Wetherspoons that I wanted another half. However, this was a bit tasteless and dusty. Still had a bit of that fragrant hop aroma, but no where near as much as a couple of days before. But then, I guess that is the pleasure/frustration with cask beer, you just can never tell whether you are going to get something brilliant, average, dull or rubbish.

Ian		15 May 2006	Amber colour, slight haze with creamy head. I was expecting a lager or cask conditioned lager, but this is neither although is was stuck through a chiller of some kind. Aromatic hop aroma, which is attractive, malty (even some choc) but wet in mouth, with more aromatic hop bite on finish. Some pear drop fruit. I like it. Clean, refreshing and excellent use of hops
