Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanExceptional04 Apr 2009 Along with Dark Star Imp Stout, this is my favourite cask UK impy stout. Really lovely choc, coffee, wide mouthfeel, bit of intense tar, Belgian dark choc
DubbelExceptional02 Apr 2009 Such a dangerously drinkable 'imperial' stout. Super condition, gloopy chocolate flavours, grade A malts and characteristic hops. A serious contender for beer of the night and best stout in the UK.

The Rake, Southwark, Central London

IanExcellent08 Nov 2007 A drinkable quaffable Imperial Stout? Yep. Just so much going on plus this ability to make you feel stunningly happy. Great Impy Stout.

The White Horse, Parsons Green, Greater London
