MattY1 | | 05 Nov 2011 | Straight away as I lifted the glass to my lips i could smell vinegar and after my first sip I was not wrong, strong acidic taste, I took the pint back to the bar and explained that the beer was clearly off, i was asked " what's wrong with it" after a brief conversation I decided to leave and upon leaving noticed most people were drinking coffee??? |

Ian | | 24 Oct 2010 | Now only 4.2% down from the original 4.6% ABV. It's a dark brown best bitter with some sting on the finish. Fine if unremarkable. |

Ian | | 02 Nov 2005 | Chestnut colour with very thin bubbly beige head. Slightly yeasty nose. Some caramel, some fragrant hop. slightly sour in mouth with drying hop finish and more yeast. Fine. Good finish. In fact middle and end are better than the start |
4.60% ABV.
This is a rich russet-brown coloured beer, its complex malt and Fuggles and Goldings hops flavours combining to make an autumnal delight, with a warming character and a good strength.
