BeerABVScoreNotes
Robinsons - Unicorn4.20ExceptionalI have to mark this with the highest accolade of 5 stars. Right temperature, distinctive sulphury nose and bitter on the lips - the best Robbies I have had for a number of years. Well done pub.

The pub is found in Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 6JL.

Often overlooked in an area richly provided with pubs selling a wide range of real ales. In Sunderland Street no more than a minute's walk from the railway station. A locals' local from the Robinsons brewery stable. Until summer 2017 felt very 60s inside and what with the people it did feel how pubs used to be 30 or 40 years ago. 4 handpumps, in 2 banks each of 2, on the bar counter but usually only 1 in use. Refurbished during a period of closure in summer 2017 and now incorporates some fancy shelving and several partitioned booths but the bar counter remains where it was.

We have visited this pub 12 times, seen 4 different beers and tried 1 of them.
