Evening visit until 10pm close. Only 3 others in. Expected an Iron Pier beer to be on but to no avail
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Chiron5.00GoodI am guessing this was Chiron as the blackboard simply said American Pale 5%. Don't know of any Thornbridge beers without an adopted name. Good taste but did lose head and condition rather quickly
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Dragon's Blood ESB5.20AcceptableNot as clean tasting as I expected

Lunchtime visit and very welcoming. I took advantage of the fact that the cafe opposite will happily deliver bacon sandwiches to the pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Iron Pier - English Pale4.10ExcellentVery good. Possibly cuckoo brewed at the moment.
Marble - Chocolate Marble5.50Not Tried
13 Dec 2017 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening until 9pm close. A rare occasion when none from the 2 couples, who own the Compass, were on duty.
BeerABVScoreNotes

24 Nov 2017 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until 10pm close. Talk is of hopes to have first Iron Pier brews out in time for Christmas.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Spey Valley - Stillman's IPA4.60GoodCondition good but the lemon edge not to my taste, do people really want it or are breweries foisting it on us
Manchester - King Cotton Best Bitter4.20AcceptableWet dog traditional mid brown English beer. Unusually for this house poured flat and lost any condition it might have had almost immediately
Siren Craft - Yu Lu3.60Not Tried
Spey Valley - Spey Stout5.40Not Tried
30 Sep 2017 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until 10pm close. Confronted upon entry by a band of pirates with tricorn hats, cutlasses, pistols, hook hands and an inflated parrot subsequently bitten to flatness by the eager Guv. The theme of the pub's earlier minibus trip to Folkestone, Dover and Barfrestone micropubs? Respect for those still standing and even some drinking malt whiskies!
BeerABVScoreNotes

Evening until 10pm close during the pub's weekend 3rd birthday celebrations with initially 14 casks on tap on Friday. 10 by my arrival, 8 by my departure!

The pub is found in Gravesend, Kent, DA12 1AA.

Micropub which opened at lunchtime on Friday 26th September 2014. Located in Manor Road just a couple of minutes from the railway station and town centre. A shop conversion from an old dairy which had, most recently, been an estate agency. Real ales and ciders sold on gravity dispense from a largish several tier stillage in a temperature controlled cold cellar room. High tables and bench seating (some incorporating wood from church pews) partition the floor space in the front room. There is further drinking space around the kitchen area and a small yard garden and smoking area at the very back. Unisex toilet. All glasses are lined measure. Closed on Mondays. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2022 and 2024.

We have visited this pub 63 times, seen 212 different beers and tried 100 of them.
