Sour. Either it had gone off or had not been pulled through. In either case it was undrinkable.

Busy. Perhaps short staffed but service was a bit slow and sullen.

Quiet inside but absolute racket from pnuematic drill along the harbour piers. You wonder why they choose the peak holiday season for heavy civil work.
Also 6DN Criterium, a slight rough and ready 7.3% West Coast IPA.

First froma freash cask. Bit thin - suspect it could have been pulled through more.
The pub is found in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, AB39 2JY.
Freehouse enjoying a fantastic harbour side location in Stonehaven's conservation area. 5 or 6 real ales, with an emphasis on Scottish micros. Excellent selection of bottled beers especially from Belgium plus interesting kegs which may be from Westmalle, Kwak or De Koninck. 2009 CAMRA Scottish Pub of the Year.
We have visited this pub 288 times, seen 401 different beers and tried 219 of them.
