Great pub about 10 minutes south of the town centre. It had a beer festival on when we were there and the marquee out the back had an amazingly long bar lined with around 60 handpulls. Great place to come for a beer.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Craven Silk4.00ExcellentSo much elderflower almost gingerish Gold, lasting beige head. Very, very elderflower on aroma. Good in mouth, good fullish pale malt, then lots of peppery elderflower on finish. Good beer.
Yorkshire Dales - 100 Not Out5.80GoodDark brown lasting deep beige head. Cream and smoky dark beer not a lot of dark malts, but good smoke character. Ok.
Pictish - Pictish4.60GoodPale gold, lasting cream head. Good hoppy beer, bit of yeast, faint diacetyl. But you know what it’s pretty decent, decent hop, good bitterness. Bit of butter. Decent
Mallinsons - Catalyst3.80GoodOrange gold colour, Mount Hood hops dry hopped. Only slightly hazy. Really good hops and finish. Great hops, lovely and resiny. Yep pretty good
Epicurus Craft Beer (formerly Hornbeam) - High Summer Pale Ale4.50AcceptableGold, thin lasting off white head. Bit woody on aroma, bit of butter in mouth, not too hoppy on finish, more woody than anything.
Otley - Columb-O4.00AcceptablePale gold, lasting off white head. Yeasty pineapple on aroma. It’s a good hoppy beer with aggressive yeast character. Decent. If characterful which isn’t to everyone’s taste
