Evening. A delightful musical experience to go with what has to be the best continuous Kentish beer exhibition. A meet up of Ukulele players playing well known folk and pop songs to sing-along-to. At its maximum there were 14 Ukuleles and 1 interloper Banjo in full throttle. Their rendition of "Show me the way to go home" seemed to last forever and one somehow rather wished it would go on and on and ...........

13:00 visit. Came here for the Dickens fest, gratis on the train (there problem not mine!)and to meet two family members. They both blew out at the last minute. Too late for me, I'd arrived? So I walked direct to here because I knew the band, Sur Les Docks from Dunkerque(F) were playing. This pub was once thought of as THE best pub in Kent! Times have moved on slightly. Still a cracking pub though. What a great afternoon ensued? Packed out and great atmosphere. Loads of people to talk to, and a couple from my way, also in the area, turned up later and gave me a lift home? And the beer was pretty good too...with several of the foreign range consumed! A good session.

A true boozer in the Troy Town area of the City. The pub encourages live music sessions. Magnificent outside Style & Winch front fascia signing has survived. Closed for holidays until 3rd November 2022.
