Relatively quiet lull while football match is on in the town on a mid Saturday afternoon.
BeerABVScoreNotes

BeerABVScoreNotes
Conwy (Bragdy Conwy) - Hoppy Christmas4.30GoodVery, very hoppy, so much so that the beer was cloudy. Very fresh tasting like freshly mown grass and good malt balance. My score 15/20

BeerABVScoreNotes
Houston - Festival4.00GoodA lot of citrus lemon taste in this, but not much malt balance. My score 15/20.

01 Aug 2009 (Martin the Mildman)
Busy with football and rugby fans. Due to this, beer was being served in plastic glasses.
BeerABVScoreNotes
George Wright - Blonde Moment4.00GoodPale bitter with tangy hop character and a dryish finish. My score 15/20
Clark's (sometimes shown as Westgate Brewery) - Sunflower Surprise3.80AcceptableVery pale beer with a dry hop character. My score 14/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Ossett - (Real Ale) Revolution I.P.A4.50GoodPale and hoppy with citrus hop taste. Some malt balance. My score 15/20.
Elland - Jayhawk Special4.70AcceptableExtremely hoppy, in aroma and in beer from start to finish. So much so that the barman offered me a taster first. Grassy, pungent, slightly citrus and imparting a tart bitterness in the finish. Thick mouthfeel and slightly hazy. One for true hopheads. Guess the hops could include Cascade and Centennial, probably a few types in this. My score 14/20 (being more of a mild person).
30 Apr 2009 (Ian)
Met up with Chris O from Ratebeer before heading down to the Reading BF. Always wanted to come in and see what it is like. Will be back as they seem to have a pretty good rotating selection of micro brewed beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Rugby - 1823 Dark Mild3.50AcceptableCola coloured beer, no real head. Herby choc, no real hop. Odd medicinal herb, odd for a mild, some dark cherry, but definitely something oddly herby in this
Derventio - Cupid4.10AcceptableCopper/gold. Some biscuit malt, some sweaty sox hop. Not great.
