In Appleton Gate, a long, deep pub with separate drinking areas off the main bar area. A selection of Castle Rock beers plus guests are served through 2 banks each of 5 handpumps. Large number of ciders sold from boxes too. Local CAMRA branch Town Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year 2019. Closed Monday 31st August 2020 with future uncertain. Reopened in 2022 after 2 years of closure.
