Mid to late evening joining a retirement do in full flow, the group took over the front bar and it was good to catch up with some familiar faces.

Late afternoon. Looks like I haven’t been here for over 7 years. I must get out more. Very good winter ambience - subtle lighting and cosy on a wet January afternoon. Took a seat in the back bar - much extended since the days of the Olive Branch.

Mid afternoon visit busy upon arrival with many folk dining but quietened down noticably as the afternoon progressed to evening. I can't recall drinking inside this pub and never realised how far back it went where the room was reserved for the retirement do I was attending, which was a bonus on a cool dull day.

Ah the Olive Branch. We sat outside, like we used to years ago, and wondered how someone had managed to put a sign up on the Olive Branch saying the Butter Market.

Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Severinia4.10AcceptableClearly the evening was getting on because my notes on this beer only say, "Lemon wazz".

15:00 and time for a Pot of tea! First visit earlier on gleaned nil service, so try again. Sat outside but the sun doesn't catch this area. Amazed at the uncleared tables all around me, and nearly all the plates wrere piled high with unwanted food. I wonder why.....!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Temperance Union - Vfm Softy1.00GoodGot two cups from my £2:25 Pot, and it was rather nice too.

Lunchtime, quite busy, plenty of eaters and drinkers outside in the sunshine overlooking the Cathedral Gate. Good barman "I'll just let that settle and then top it up for you sir" Good selection of ales - has improved in the last couple of years by the looks of things.

Fair few in including a lady from North America after a steak n kidney pie. Here during their beer festival, according to their pump clips, apparently.
