7:30pm and it looks like the pub has been hit by an earthquake – spilt beer, broken glass, table detritus, discarded newspapers, wobbly City-types. In reality, it is just the aftermath of a Monday evening rush hour session.
BeerABVScoreNotes
London Brewing Co. (Bohemia) - London Lush3.80GoodPale gold in colour. It is a hoppy beer with a sharp, lemony taste.
London Brewing Co. (Bohemia) - St Pancras 2504.80AcceptableHints that this is a good IPA-style beer, but it is badly let down by flat condition.

Just time for a quick half in here before Dave and I head to Cheapside for an evening of cycle racing.

Mid-evening and not overcrowded.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Celt Experience (now brands are owned by Evans Evans) - Galaxy Equinox5.60ExcellentAn amber-coloured, robustly-hopped IPA, with a sticky malt base that is slipping towards caramel in taste.
BRÚ - Red Ale4.20ExcellentA real surprise. Neither particularly red (in the low light of this pub anyway), nor sweet. In fact it has a delicious taste of tangerines.

Quick early-evening pint when the pub is rush-hour busy. So long since I’ve been in a Nicholson’s pub that I completely forgot to ask for a discount using the Nicholson’s App.

First time I’ve been in here since the recent refurbishment. I can’t see much difference in truth. Relatively quiet on a Monday evening.

I liked it in here, far more relaxed than the 'spoons over the road. Breakfast was good too.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Considerably more peaceful than the White Hart, although just as busy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brains - Three-C'Son5.00ExcellentGolden in colour. A lip-smacking Saison. Everybody seems to brew a Saison these days and this is a lovely example. Fruity and spicy. Just a little sourness. Good European hop flavours.
Maxim - Black Maxim4.00PoorVery disappointing Milk Stout. More sourness than lactic sweetness, no sign of roastiness. I suspect the problem was more in the cellar than at the brewery.

A typical Thursday night rush-hour crush in here – and I only came here because the pub I wanted to visit was intolerably crowded.

A Nicholson's pub alongside Liverpool Street railway station selling Fuller's London Pride and up to 6 guest beers through 7 handpumps on the bar counter. Once upon a time was a place to get a superb pint of Bass with attitude. The Traders' Bar Dining room is upstairs, toilets are downstairs.
