This is where I get to use a phrase which appears a lot on this website, but is rarely appropriate to myself: - “Evening until close”. I so rarely hear bells or shouts of ‘Time’. But I enjoyed a late session here.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Jarrow - Pumberger Black IPA5.00ExcellentDark ruby red. More a hoppy Dunkelweiss than an IPA I thought. Good stuff nevertheless.
Cullercoats - Bramling Cross4.80ExcellentGolden. Lots of dry-hopping gives this a great blackberry flavour.
GreyHawk - Nirvana Pale4.30GoodAmber-coloured. Both hoppy and caramel-flavoured. Took me a while to get the hang of it.

Afternoon visit and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff enhanced my visit, and I was shown around the superb unspoilt buffet bar which was closed at the time of my visit.

The pub is found in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, NE8 2AN.

A fabulous pub situated on a triangular site between railway lines and close to the south side of the Tyne Bridge – just a short walk from Newcastle city centre in fact. There are two very distinct rooms at ground floor level, linked by a corridor area, plus an upstairs room. Both well-preserved and well-restored by the Head of Steam group, this pub is listed by CAMRA for its historic interior. Subsequently purchased by Camerons Brewery in December 2013.

We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 25 different beers and tried 8 of them.
