Visits Details

22 Jul 2017 (Stephen Harris)
Weekend ‘Summer Tap’ openings here for the next couple of months. I arrive in the early evening just as a group of friends, who have been here all afternoon watching the Tour de France coverage on the big screen, are leaving. I stay for a couple of beers anyway.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Five Points - IPA7.10ExcellentA great, strong, fruity IPA.
Five Points - XPA4.00AcceptableVery pale, good hop presence but a bit too cold and fizzy for me – feels like an old fashioned keg in use for this one.
02 Jul 2016 (Stephen Harris)
A very well-attended ‘Yard Party’ here today and I visit for a while in the early evening. Interrupted by a short but violent thunder storm. Only keg and canned beers available; around ten different ones in total.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Five Points - Brick Field Brown (keg)5.50ExcellentOn keg dispense. A well-hopped (Willamette) Brown Ale.
Five Points - Ten Points Extra Pale4.00GoodOn keg dispense – this beer was previously sold as ‘Field Day’, having originally been brewed as a special beer for the Field Day event. It is pale gold in colour and very flavourful, being well-hopped with Citra and Galaxy. This pint over-carbonated.

The pub is found in Hackney, Greater London, E8 4RG.

Like many of London’s new generation of brewers, The Five Points Brewing Co are expanding rapidly. Brewing continues at their Hackney Downs site, but they have expanded into a large premises nearby on Mare Street to handle their storage and distribution requirements. The additional space allows the brewery to promote various weekend events at this new site.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 4 different beers and tried them all.
