Pre-arranged early opening at noon for our cycling group. 8 of us made it despite the weather. Really helpful here and a good session enjoyed by all.
Hop Fuzz - Hopstar | 4.00 | | Marked up as a golden session ale - but more strawlike in colour. Bright and very easy drinking. |
Tonbridge - Rustic | 4.00 | | Good trad ale. |
Mad Cat - Mild Disobedience | 4.00
Pig & Porter - Whispering Grass | 5.50 | | A little murky but very tasty. |

Mid afternoon- swift visit to check that they can open at noon for our cycling group on Maundy Thursday. They can and they will. A few in.
Bexley - Bexley's Own Beer | 4.20 | | Good full pint as is the norm here. Nothing special flavour wise. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 3 | 5.00 | Not Tried
Wantsum - Black Prince | 3.90 | Not Tried
Westerham - 500 miles | 3.60 | Not Tried

We came for the Goachers Mild and unfortunately there were only 2 pints left - which we had. Busy with the rugby on.
Goacher's - Real Mild Ale | 3.40 | | Second to last pint in the barrel but perfectly drinkable. |
Tonbridge - Countryman | 4.00 | Not Tried
Mighty Oak - Sou Wester | 3.90 | Not Tried
Hop Fuzz - Bullion Pale | 5.00 | Not Tried

Having seen Jack's reviews this was on my list of pubs to visit. Nicely done out pub. For those likely to visit this weekend they apparently have two firkins of Goachers Mild on!
Kent - Brewers Reserve | 5.00 | | Well served. Pale straw colour. ESB flavour |
Pig & Porter - Cosmic Jive | 3.40 | | Nice reedy pale yellow-brown bitter with rich notes |
Kent - Old Skool | 4.10 | Not Tried

Liked this so much last week I cycled back in the sunshine today. Quiet but welcoming just after 1pm opening.
Long Man - Rising Giant | 4.80 | | Superb pint. |
Kent - Drenched | 3.00 | | A blonde ale with good citrus flavour. Brewed especially low to tempt those wavering about dry January I believe. |
Tonbridge - Coppernob | 3.80 | Not Tried

Here with my bus-pass group, 7 of us. The pub had opened by arrangement slightly earlier than the 1pm advertised time. A group of 5 others already in and taking advantage. Very good service and happy for us to bring some food in from the nearby chippie. Three ales on as we arrived, one finished but two more added in our two hours here. About a dozen other customers in. Good to see a well patronised new pub, especially in January. Ale prices £4.20 and £4.40 a pint.
Long Man - Long Blonde | 3.80
Kent - Brewers Reserve | 5.00 | | Superb beer in top condition. |
Wantsum - Ravening Wolf | 5.90 | | Fresh on. Good condition but rather too sweet for my preference. |
Kent - KSB | 5.10 | | Traditional strong bitter with a nuttiness, towards the end of the barrel but still very drinkable. |
Tonbridge - Old Chestnut | 4.40 | Not Tried | Fresh on. |
