Ian | 12 Aug 2006 | Like the Thomas Hardy Ale and the Sarah Hughes Ruby Mild I had earlier this is very malty. The malt here is tempered by a good dosing of hop. Still alcoholic and malty. Hop finish is in fact quite harsh, but doesn't alleviate the rich malt and alcohol. Coffee/choc/syrupy malt aroma and in mouth with some sweetish berry fruit. Hit of harsh hop on end. Sweet tangerine in there too. | |
