Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan SamplingGood21 Feb 2026 This Windsor-brewed seasonal copper-red session bitter presented a very good head and with its lacing lasting to the end of its last drop. It has been released to coincide with the Six Nations rugby championship by its craft brewery* launched in 2010 in Duke Street, Windsor. A dry fruited first bite. A hoppy bitterness rising with fruity and floral hints from modern varieties such as Mosaic and Simcoe or even from New Zealand hops like Nelson Sauvin. A maltiness joining in with biscuity notes from its rye, crystal and double roasted malts. A pleasurable bitter hoppiness trotting out. Presented in tip-top condition and very moreish. *The brewery was granted a Royal Warrant in 2018 and is widely recognised for its flagship ales such as Guardsman and Knight of the Garter.
