Hogan SamplingGood09 May 2025 4th beer: Was going to go for the Broken Drum micropub's Errol the Dragon bitter but alas this was one of the few on the second day of the three-day beer festival to have been entirely consumed and I sure with much enjoyment. Pleased therefore to have in its place Blackfen's Broken Drum's stout which came with good head and lacing and lasted. An unmistakably malty first hit. A hint of chocolatey maltiness then rose up in the mouthfeel and was an immense pleasure to savour. It was named after an infamous cat belonging to Nanny Ogg. Greebo is a cat in Terry Pratchett's Discworld books and is a foul-tempered one-eyed grey tomcat whose human, Nanny Ogg, insists against all the evidence that he is a sweet, harmless kitten!
