These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan Sampling | ![]() | 06 Jun 2025 | Fresh on today and yet only managed to buy one before it ran out at about 10.40pm. This amber pale clearly hit all the right notes with earlier punters, and being Friday open from 2pm rather than 4pm Monday to Thursday. A hoppy and mildly fruity first hit. A dry hoppiness rising up in the mouthfeel from the two German hop varieties mixed with Maris Otter malts. A subtle fruitiness from mandarin and lemon citrus. A very moreishly oily hoppy dryness lingering. A collaboration between the Peterborough-based brewery and Fat Cat from Norwich. Only one pint did I manage to sample as evidently all 72 pints consumed from 2pm if indeed it was on then. A great record for beer consumption in one session! |

Philip Pirrip | ![]() | 21 May 2025 | Once again no idea what Fat Cat added as seemed basic Oakham taste through and through |
Hogan Sampling | ![]() | 20 May 2025 | Fresh on and came with very good head and lacing and lasting on this Peterborough amber pale and brewed collaboratively with Fat Cat Brewery in Norwich. A touch too fruity for my liking with a sharp citrusy first hit. A fruitiness exploded on the palate with two German hops involved and mixed with Maris Otter malt plus another three malts on top. Spicy pine, black pepper, mandarin and lemon citrus are the flavourings according to the tasting notes and mixed together were quite prominent on my palate and not in the least subtle. Sampling one pint of this sufficed for me. |
