Hogan Sampling | ![]() | 20 Sep 2025 | Came positively foaming with excitement to be tried did this home-produced Green Hop ale from the cellars of the Four Candles. Head and lacing, excellent, and lasting, very good. It was tapped at about 4pm by all accounts. A moreishly hop-infused oily first bite. A dry hoppiness rising, aided by Fuggles hops, one of Faversham’s finest, with a tasty oiliness lingering on my palate. Very moreish indeed! Brewed just days before from freshly harvested Kentish hops. I think the first green hopped beer for me was a bit of an acquired taste some 10 years ago, but now I have developed the taste for it, definitely for me! |
