Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan SamplingGood01 Nov 2025 Head and lacing, very good, and lasting the whole way on this Tring-brewed ESB. A caramel-infused malty first hit. A bitterness rising and a sweet maltiness winning over before ebbing out on the tide.

WhoScoreWhenNotes
Hogan SamplingGood01 Nov 2025 Head and lacing, very good, and lasting to the end on this extra strong bitter, though only 4.4%, from Tring, north-west of St Albans. A malty, stewed-fruit first hit. A moreishly dry bitterness taking flight on its broomstick with a pleasant black malt or two flying up in joy. British hops blended in Tring's cauldrons lending it a dry hoppiness paddling out in a good puddle of bitterness.
