Hogan SamplingGood03 Jan 2026 1st beer of this visit: One to lose its head and so downed this Bermondsey mild first. A dark fruited first bite. A sherry-like flavouring rising with lots dark fruitiness in on the act and hints of caramel and dark chocolate in among its spiciness. Maris Otter, Vienna, Crystal and Chocolate malts all playing their wonderful act. A dry moreish bitterness sliding downwards having been hopped with fruity hops like Cascade and El Dorado, lending it for me hints of damson. The Kernel Brewery celebrated its 16 years of operation in September 2025.
