| Hogan Sampling | ![]() | 07 Mar 2026 | Exhibiting a good head and lasting all the way on this session IPA from a recipe from Mexico* and brewed by the UK’s Oakham Ales in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. A mildly fruity first hit. A hint of fruity spiciness rising from its blend of hops: Amarillo, Cascade and Citra. A sweetish fruitiness pervading with pink grapefruit and tropical hints but thankfully not too sweet for my taste buds and not overly citrusy. A good helping of hibiscus flowers lending it a tinge of redness in its colouring and giving rise to its tanginess. A hoppy dryness lingering. It ably held its life throughout and aided sliding my curry downwards. *It was first brewed by Cervecería Malteza, a craft brewery based in Mexico City, and known for international collaborations and participating in major beer festivals. |
