WhoScoreWhenNotes
Hogan SamplingGood04 Apr 2026 Head and lacing on being served but did not last on this rum barrel-aged American stout from Burwash, East Sussex, and on the family farm of actor and rock legend, Roger Daltrey, the co-founder and lead singer of the rock band, The Who. He co-founded Lakedown Brewing Company with his son, Jamie, and sons-in-law. A dark chocolatey and roasted coffee-infusion on its first bite. A dry smoky bitterness rising and accompanied by a subtle piney sweetness from its combination of Centennial and Golding hops. A sweet malty bitter note winning over from its blend of five grains including Extra Pale, Black and Chocolate. A dry hoppy bitterness playing out. Not holding its head and lacing and so perhaps towards the end but tasted fine.
