Showing off an impressive head and lasting lacing, its brewing operation began in 2014 when the historic Oakwell Brewery in Barnsley closed with the brewing equipment relocated to Sheffield, South Yorkshire, on the doorstep of the former Stones' Cannon Brewery, and so utilising the area's exceptionally soft Yorkshire water. A mildly fruited first hit. A woody, resinous hoppiness rising from its 100% American Columbus hops, making it a single-hop pale ale behind its woody, earthy and citrusy lemon touches. A dry fruity finish sliding out and no detectable lemon flavours for me. In top form with copious conditioning throughout. |
