Ian | 21 Mar 2007 | Black beer with brown edges, lasting beige head. So this is good. There has been a lot of traffic on Scoopgen about this beer. Some dark malts on aroma, good sourish dark fruits, bit of dark choc. Juicy, rather than powdery, but there is roasted dryness and some hop on end. Intense finish of sour fruit, bit of liquorice, some molasses. Oddly likeable. Not a bitter mind, more an old ale or porter. |
