These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Ian | 10 Sep 2005 | For me the best of the 3 beers. Dark brown with thin lasting beige head. Blackberries/blackcurrants on the aroma. Quite full in mouth with some candy sugar, malt flavours are exquisite and then black cherries on the finish with chocolate. Some hoppy bite as well. Stunning.
Martin | 22 May 2005 | €3 at time of writing. A burst of blackberries, dark fruit and coffee - in a rich and unctious. Yes this is a beer review, not a wine -though it does have hints of a brandy wine about it, with a slightly sweet edge. Really unlike any other beer I've tried - loved it and it'd work really well with gamey food or rich desserts.
Ian | 21 May 2005 | Dark ruby colour. Black/hedgerow fruits on nose with chocolate and coffee flavours balanced by slgihtly sweet fruit in mouth. Some toffee is detectable. Some dryness on end. A lovely brown beer.
Ian | 28 Dec 2004 | Excellent warm fruity malts and some hops give a good structure to this beer |
