Mid afternoon and starting point of a vintage bus tour visiting a few nearby pubs on a splendidly restored ex Eastern National Bristol RE (FWC 439H). Around 30 of us filled out the pub and set the usual scene of many bemused locals on such trips.

Time for a very quick one in here before the London train arrived. Not been here for years. A Greene King seasonal beer also on, but I neglected to write down its name.

1130 visit and first stop today. I was last here ten years ago. This is a convenient stopping point en-route to/from Harwich whilst waiting for the connecting train. It was much better (ale-wise) back then, today, only GK ales available. The roaring fire has gone but the bacon sandwich was welcome...
