Mid afternoon fairly quiet inside with a few folk outside in this tastefully modernised locals pub still retaining its cosy comfy interior.

Meeting Dave R here after work; my first visit to this former GBG pub for quite a few years.

The pub is found in Islington, Central London, N1 2XD.
A delightful little back street pub in Compton Avenue, situated close to Highbury & Islington station and at the rear of the Union Chapel. Has a feel similar to a Belgravia mews pub. Drinking spaces on several levels around the bar and a rear garden. Busy on Arsenal match days. Was Greene King leased and now, since 2018, operated by Local Club Ltd.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 8 different beers and tried 2 of them.
