Has had an exterior redecoration and a bit of a sprucing up inside since I was last here. Still a slightly rough edge to the atmosphere here though – even at lunchtime.

We were on the Andy Piper DEMU railtour from Ashford, we had a few hours in Poole and this was our first pub, lunchtime and not too busy.
